My name is Julia Getman, I live and work in Moscow. I have a higher technical education, but already in adulthood I abruptly changed my professional trajectory, graduating from the theatrical art school . Having received the diploma of the artist-technologist of theatrical costume, I got and work to this day in the Moscow art theater.A. P. Chekhov.
The craft of puppeteer is akin to theatrical work. This is the kind of creativity that contains all the knowledge and skills, awakens imagination and technical ingenuity, gives joy to me and people! Just like in the theater, everything is used in puppetry: different materials, techniques, techniques, painting, aging, embroidery , modeling, designing and making a costume - everything that I love. So I became a member of the motley community of puppeteers and teddists, finding new friends and harmony of life. Along the way, I became interested in studying and collecting antique dolls. My extensive knowledge of the history of the costume and its cut plays a huge role in the return of their original appearance.
Each of my toys has its own history, whether it is a portrait Teddy-cat, a fantastic winged creature from the cat Kingdom I invented, a lady-cat, the prototype of which was a real historical person, or it is bears, foxes, deer, dolls, etc.
My toys constantly participate in competitions and exhibitions, receive diplomas and high marks of eminent masters. I never stop learning from the best authors, bringing my ideas and honing my skills! Inexpressible positive emotions and amazing stories associated with the acquisition of my creations bring joy to me as an author, inspire confidence and motivate me to move forward!
