Have you ever seen French bulldogs? The creature is incredibly funny, slobbering and grunting with short, curved legs and claws clattering on the floor. After all, some of these dogs see themselves as dancers!!! Lightweight, flexible, swift and graceful.
Here's what I know for sure: dreams come true! Especially on the Christmas Eve of the upcoming Year of the Dog.
To make the ballet dancer, you need:
1. Foam balls
3. Kraft or other paper for papier-mache
4. Papier-mache, or any self-hardening polymer clay for dolls
5. Lace, sequins and beads for decorating
6. PVA glue
8. Brush and sponge for painting
9. Acrylic primer, paint, gloss varnish for the eyes and mouth water.
Start with a sketch. Tear paper into small pieces. It is better to use paper of different colours to avoid confusion with layers. Note: paper should be of the same thickness.
! Paper is soaked in PVA glue diluted with water. Keep paper in the solution for at least an hour (more is better).
Smooth each paper piece after applying with your finger to stick it and remove air bubbles. Add 5 layers.
After the ball dries, make the legs from copper wire, 2.5 mm. Bend wire in the joints, follow the shape of each leg. Then insert them in the balloon on the marked points.
Next step. Add volume to the legs using the same Kraft paper. Don't forget about the tail! It's tiny, but it exists! Give the paws a recognizable shape. Sculpt the face from papier-mache. Use photos in full face and profile. Insert wooden beads for the eyes.
Cut out ears from leather. Use fire to apply the right shape.
While the bulldoggy dries, make semicircular cuts in the head and insert the glued ears. Add a bit of papier-mache around, get rid of ugly gaps. Dry.
Find an old unnecessary lace and glue it:
Prime all with 2-3 layers, the lace also. Use sponge everywhere and the brush for the muzzle, ears and lace. Add a corset.
Let it dry and then paint. Use bright main colours for the first layer:
Gradually paint the doggy. Pay attention to the eyes, tongue and ears.
Decorate the tiara and the tutu with beads and sequins — make the last finishing touches. Stick the tiara. Apply gloss varnish on the eyes, nose and tongue.
Well, a new ballet star is born!
Hope you liked the tutorial and the bulldoggy.
