If you love working with leather as I do, you'll like the DIY, too.
You need:
- cream plastic jar
- dense foam or a thick foamed polyethylene
- velour, velvet
- soft leather
- PVA glue
1-2. Insert foam in the jar and make cuts at the lines each 2 cm.
3. Cut out a velvet rectangle 2 times larger then the diameter of the jar and of width 4 cm larger.
4-6. Insert the fabric between the cuts.
7-8. Fill the edges with the fabric, too.
9-10. Wrap the jar into a strip of leather, the length = the circumference, the width = the side wall + 1 cm. Glue the strip and smooth it.
11. Cover the bottom with a glued leather circle.
12-13. Glue a strip of leather to the lid, the dimensions are the same.
13-14. Then cut a circle from soft leather 1.5 - 2 times larger then the diameter of the lid. Glue the lid and spread the leather circle on it.
15. Make little folds with fingers:
16. Add glue when needed.
17-18. The seam on the lid may be hidden with a leaf.
19. Add some flowers and the box is ready!
20. Using this method, you can make an organizer out of any tight box of a suitable size.
See you!
