And again, thanks to Livemaster — a beautiful theme of mustard, a warm, rich colour of golden autumn. This is how I came up with this tutorial.
For the brooches you needed:
1. Pieces of dark green linen cloth and mustard viscose.
2. Lace cotton.
3. Mustard and brown wool for felting.
4. 38 needle for felting.
5. Scissors, thread, needle.
6. Beads, pins, metal fittings, base for brooches.
7. Iris melange thread, 2 hook.
The most important thing in the process of making brooches is to collect the materials. The final set of materials appeared only in the process of creating.
At first, I felted some beads. I torn off pieces approximately of the same size.
Start working with the needle. At the beginning, holes are seen but they are still quite soft, and you need to make them smooth and firm.
Therefore, proceed to the second stage. Soak them in warm water with shampoo.
And then begin to roll them on such Ikea film with bubbles.
Remove foam and roll until you get such smooth balls. Leave them to dry.
And then start felting the brooches. First, the middle. Maybe someone makes it differently. I only show my technique. I torn off a piece of a cloth.
Love tearing off these frayed edges to make boho :) Make a knot at the end of it and begin wrapping the strip around it.
Sew.
Crochet a treble crochet circle with iris melange threads. And sew the part to the bottom of the middle.
Take a green strip, it is also frayed - not cut but teared off, fold it, not in half but make the upper edge slightly shorter as if there were two layers and begin to gather it on a thread.
And sew together again.
The next layer is the fabric from which I made the middle, the mustard viscose, I also gather it but in one layer.
And sew all together.
The lace comes. I also gathered it in folds and sewed to the bottom of the brooch. All the layers are sewn tightly, my brooches are quite firm in the center and shaggy and loose at the edges.
Then the decoration begins. Sew metal bronze leaves to the brooch. Collect beads and findings on the rings. I have three beads — tiger's eye and jasper.
I sew the felted beads, slightly flattening them and making a center: bead separators for two beads of a mustard colour for beads and a tiny pebble for the brown bead :)
Sew felted beads near the leaves, then sew the beginning of the chain and... the tiger's eye at the end of the chain.
One more extra mustard bead — between the mustard and lace layer. It seems not visible, however, gives a flavor.
Cut out a green lace circle, take the base for brooches, apply glue, I used instant one. And sew this all together, tighten all well and squeeze.
And take a photo.
Thanks to you all who payed attention, looked through and read, and left comments. I would be grateful if you like and click the button :)
Wish you good luck!
