Zherdev Vitaliy (born 1971 , Kryvoi Roh , Ukrainian SSR ).
The candidate of art criticism . Associate Professor of the Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts. Professor of the Sichuan Normal University, College of television and cinematic art (China ).
Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
In 1997 he graduated from the Kharkov Art - Industrial Institute. Occupation: artist-restorer.
Since 2002 he began teaching at the Kharkov State Academy of Design and Arts.
In the period of 2005-2009 he made a research trip to Austria, Germany and France. He participated in the international conference of the European League of Institutes of Arts in Berlin and Budapest. He was trained at the Higher School of Art and Design Burg Giebichenstein (Hochschule für Kunste und Design Burg-Giebichenstein (Halle, Deutschland)). In 2010 he defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of art on the theme "The Sacral Art in the Russian Orthodox Church in Germany ( XIX - early XX century)".
Author of the album - monograph "Michael and Vitaliy Zherdev: meeting in decades".
He works in the genre of portraiture, landscape and religious paintings. The works belong to the collections and galleries in Russia, the Czech Republic, Germany, the United States, including the Center for the Arts and Religion at Wesley Theological Seminary (Washington DC, USA).
