As you probably know, there is a competition of tutorials "Musical Pause" on Livemaster. In addition, this week is dedicated "Cherry Orchard" topic. So I came up with the idea of how you can combine these two topics in one tutorial! :)
I present to your attention a photo tutorial on making "Cherry Note" brooch!
You will need:
1) polymer clay (cherry, green, brown shades are basic ones, the rest are as you wish);
2) cutters;
3) textured sheet;
4) blade, rolling pin, paste machine;
5) brooch basis;
6) lacquer, super glue.
So, for a start, I prepared a few polymer clay canes and working part, which can be of any colour. I used different shades of the same colour scheme to further roll them on the machine to get tone transitions. It looks prettier that way. Though you can take one colour cane.
After rolling cherry-red cane and getting the desired layer, I made a convex circle with the help of a cutter.
With another cutter, I turned a circle into a cherry.
From a brown cane with a rectangular thin cutter I made a stick-stalk.
Cutting the edge of the stick, I put it to the cherry so that they match exactly along the surface. I have also made green leaf.
Important information! For strength of the product I highly recommend to seal these two parts with a pin. To do this, I put a pin in a stalk and a cherry to firmly fasten together. If you have glue gun, you can use it as well (it will be even stronger).
Next, with the help of a textured sheet, I squeezed out a leaf with streaks on a green layer.
With the help of another cutter, cut out a shape that resembles a note tail, and a leaf at the same time :)
Cut the edge of the stalk, so that there is enough space for the tail, I put the entire composition on the working layer. Next, carefully cut out and send to bake.
After baking, carefully sand, glue a pin with a glue, close it with a polymer and for greater strength put a polymer layer on the edge (though it was already tightly fastened :) But I wanted to make sure :) Send to bake again.
After the second baking, varnish, leaving to dry for 12 hours. What happened in the end?
It turned out quite miniature, very nice, unusual brooch in the form of a cherry note. Light, bright and elegant. It cheers you up! :)
Thank you for your attention!
The tutorial participates in the competition "Musical Pause", so I will be happy to get your likes (if you liked it)!
