Another interesting topic, offered by Livemaster, inspired me to come up with an unusual cactus. This was possible because I had an original stencil, which I purchased here on Livemaster. It reminds of prickles of the cactus :)
So, you will need:
1) polymer clay (in fact, any you want);
2) cutters;
3) texture sheets;
4) paste machine, blade;
5) acrylic paint, lacquer;
6) the basis for a brooch;
7) Swarovski crystal.
From different shades of polymer clay, I formed three different bars.
Having received three layers of polymer with the transition of tones, I made a texture on them with the help of the mentioned stencil.
From these pieces with the help of cutters and additional layer of polymer clay I made three forms of the future cactus. I've mapped out where I'm going to put them.
With the help of the same cutters cut out holes for two round elements on the large part of the cactus and firmly fasten them together. At the same time prepare a layer of polymer for flowers.
With the help of figure cutters make flowers.
Cut out with the same cutters holes on the large part of the cactus and put the flowers there, firmly pressing them. From the same layer of polymer clay make a pre-texture, using a triangular cutter to cut out a pot.
Slightly cut off the bottom of the cacti and put the whole composition on the layer of polymer clay.
Neatly cut out. It is necessary to check that there are no gaps and slits between the lower layer of the polymer and the composition.
Then bake. After baking, carefully sand all the irregularities and attach the base for the brooch (it can be a holder for a pendant). It would not be me if I did not add Swarovski crystal :) Though you can, of course, do without it. Again send to bake. After the second baking, I covered the pot with golden acrylic paint to make it more beautiful and expressive.
Then it was polished and varnished. That's what happened. The brooch is quite small (about 7.5 cm by 3.5 cm). Quite easy and neat.
Thank you for your attention!
