Trendy Colors of Autumn 2018: Reasons For Buying and not Buying Them
- Category: Fashion, Style & Trends
- Practices: Different practices
Before untangling this difficult and confusing title covering the topic, I would like to introduce you 10 fashionable colors and 5 base colors that were called the most essential this fall and coming winter by the Pantone Institute.
UV (Ultra Violet) remains the main color of the year and goes perfectly with autumn colors.
There are also usual autumn colors in TOP 10: burgundy, deep red, blue-green, dark olive in new interpretations, but there are a few unexpected autumn colors.
Red pear — juicy rich red-Burgundy color, seductive in its depth.
Valiant Poppy — bold and expansive red, incredibly charming.
Russet Orange — a ginger hue in autumn, defoliation, carpet of maple leaves tradition.
Ceylon Yellow — a spicy shade of yellow which brings an exotic touch to your autumn wardrobe.
Limelight — a sparkling and lively light yellow with a slight greenish tint. It is very close to Spring Meadowlark, but more pastel.
Martini Olive is a subtle green with a brown undertone. It will look great in an urban environment.
Quetzal Green — a deep elegant blue-green inspired by the rich plumage of tropical birds.
Blue Nebulas is a wistful dark blue, which reminds of twilight and starry sky.
Crocus Petal — perhaps, the most unexpected color in autumn palette after the Limelight. It is a gentle and elegant color which adds lightness and airiness in an understated autumn and also promises an imminent spring.
There are 5 basic autumn colors, most of them are light.
Deep dark blue of the Sargasso sea is boundless and bottomless as the deep sea.
Creamy white Tofu is one of the basic colors, but unlike white it is not flashy and will likely become a fundamental element of looks.
Almond Buff is a muted and whitened color of camel wool. A gentle and unassuming color.
Quiet Grey — an unobtrusive color, which is always relevant. It can be a perfect backdrop.
Slightly "toasted" brown color Meerkat easily fits a wardrobe, adapting to other colors and styles.
Why you don't need to buy items in trendy colors of this season or why it is not necessary to spend all forces on searching of clothing in fashionable colors? I begin to untangle.
You may not be paying attention, but every spring we try to wear delicate shades, in summer I want bright colors and in autumn I prefer deep rich colors, which look great on the background of autumn foliage and the low grey sky — dark red, purple, dark green, red, brown and green-brown.
Every autumn the Pantone Institute announces fashion colors for the season and always presents there are also these colors in this palette — cherry, aubergine, emerald and olive one year, burgundy, plum, fir and khaki the following year. People whose work is not connected with color do not usually pay attention to such nuances as the difference between eggplant and plum, khaki and olive.
Do you understand what I mean? These differences are so insignificant that most men don't even see them. And the rest and many women simply do not consider it necessary to "bother".
Here is the conclusion! If you still have a last year marsala jacket, and a spruce skirt from the year before last, then you can wear them safely. It is most importantly that these things have modern silhouettes.
Appropriate and modern combination of colors is the most important thing in choosing sets in a certain season.
It is not so simple to learn, the theory is complicated and confusing. But there is a solution. Everything comes with experience and the accumulation of visual impressions. You need to train your eyes.
I have collected for you examples from the catwalks of spring-winter 2018-19. And there are also several variants of skillfully combining colors from streetstyle fashionistas.
And you don't have to choose autumn sets only of fashionable colors. Choose from the most loved and of those that suit you. They do not have to be fashionable.
