How to Make a Beaded Mosaic with an Indian Elephant with Kids
I love working with children much. We've done many projects together, and today I offer a DIY with seed beads.
And I really love elephants, especially festively decorated. So it seemed to me that these animals are extremely suitable for panels.
Here we discuss beads to use:
Materials:
1) Czech beads + PVA glue
2) acrylic paint + squirrel brush
3) base, 15 x 21 cm (perfect for standard frames)
4) sketch, pencil, carbon paper
5) some beautiful beads – optional
Step 1
Transfer the sketch using carbon paper (as a blueprint) on the base:
Step 2
Paint all parts in 2 layers.
Step 3
After complete drying, glue small areas and immediately put beads.
After drying, the work was inserted in a wooden frame without glass.
Tip: do not fill the whole composition with beads – it looks pretty boring, so leave acrylic background – your work would benefit.
And another tip: when choosing, preferably take mat Czech beads. It is more smooth in shape and beautiful in colour.
My pupils coped with it for 2 and a half hours. All were very pleased, including me. And now our photos:
