Today there is such a little tutorial in which I will show a very quick and easy way to make a notepad from scratch in paperback in about half an hour.
For work, you need
- pack of sheets of A4 paper of such thickness that you can fold in half
- sheet of thick paper or thin cardboard (the main thing is that it should go through the machine) of the size slightly larger than A4, perfect — 220 mm 307 mm
- two paper squares, 4 cm by 4 cm, fleece
- fabric for covers
- fabric for squares
- a beautiful sheet of A4 paper for the flyleaf
- iris threads
- decorative elements — I have a wooden buttons :)
- and glue
First, prepare the paper. The whole pack should be folded in half and pierces 4 times with a needle or awl.
Aw, the block is ready :)
Now the cover. Take the cardboard and glue a piece of fleece on it.
Now cut out a rectangle of fabric slightly bigger than the sheet of cardboard.
Glue the edge of the fabric along the long sides.
The corners are glued so:
Now the short sides.
Ta-dam! Now is the time to be careful! I made a mistake here gluing a sheet of paper for the flyleaf. Do not do it now. It's just in the photo.
I'll tell you when it's really the time. But I did it at this moment, so you see it in the photo. And even stitched it.
And the right side:
Well, what's done is done, and yet you put the blank of the cover without flyleaf aside.
Now take two paper squares of size 4 cm by 4 cm and glue them on fleece.
Now glue fabric the same way like on the cover.
Now take a button and sew it neatly to the box.
Fasten the end from the inside.
Take the second square and glue an elastic to its backside with instant glue
Now place the squares on the cover, which, I recall, has no flyleaf.
And stitch them on the machine.
He-e-e-re is now the ideal time for gluing and sewing the flyleaf. Well, and I have it with the seams of the squares.
When the flyleaf is glued, carefully find the middle and draw the line with a pencil.
Take a text block and put it on the cover, carefully combining them.
Now carefully, by hand, sew it right through the cover.
The end of the thread is passed to the flyleaf and tieв with a small knot that needs to be hidden in the text block.
Well, actually, that is all. Attach the corners.
Bend the cover, the notepad is ready :)
