Japonic pattern called 'butterflies', which these women's mittens are knitted with, implies combination of front and back side mashes that creates ribbing effect. It's one of the best choices for mittens, fingerless gloves, gaiters, knee socks and other tight-fitting works. This point is of no small importance for any knitted work.
