And it brought forth the Lord God from the ground every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, and the tree of life in Paradise, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
And said the Lord God: behold, Adam is become as one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now how would not he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever.( Gen. 3:22)
According to Jewish commentaries, the Tree of life symbolizes the Torah, about which it is said in the Proverbs of Solomon: " She is a tree of life for those who support it" (Prov. 3:18). For this reason, wooden roller on which is wound a roll of parchment of the Torah, called "Etz a Hayim" — "Tree of Life", and the handles attached thereto for unwinding a scroll, decorated with images of pomegranate fruits — a common symbol of life in the Ancient near East.

According to traditional Jewish interpretation, the Tree of life covers its life-giving shadow of the garden of Eden, where the souls of the righteous. It is fragrant five hundred thousand different scents, and its sweet smell reaches the edge of the world. Under the Tree of life sit the righteous, who interpreted and taught the Torah from the mouth of the Most high, dwelling among them.

In the Kabbalah of the Tree of life also States: 92. Rav Paalim he Mekabtziel — Multiactive and Collecting this high tree, the largest of all. From what place it came? From which degree did it originate? Again shows us the source of Mekabtziel, because he is the highest, the hidden, which no one saw. All there is to it, it collects in itself the highest light. And everything emanates from it. ( The Book Of Zohar). In this passage we have in mind that the tree is the highest level of knowledge for the creatures of our world. It involves end of correction ("the Gmar Tikkun"), complete correction of all properties in the final state of the universe.
