Fingerless gloves are known for ages. For some time they weren't very popular. Nowdays their necessity is motivated by the reality and modern human needs. Many buttons surround us and we have to press them. Fingers should be free and hands be protected from cold and wind. That's how fingerless gloves appeared.
The women's fingerless gloves are knitted of Leonberger underfur. Leonberger is a very rare dog breed, and its underfur is considered to be exclusive in its qualities. Leonberger underfur can be equal to silk by its softness. This is ideal material for the works which need to be as much soft as possible. The wool of such beautiful dog is colored by many different colors: auburn, simple red, grey, brown, cream-colored and white. Accordingly, I use Leonberger underfur of different colors too. Accurate selection of underfur can give up to five different kinds of yarn that I use for knitting. Consequently, Leonberger underfur of beige, red and grey colors can be used for knitting as for different works, as for the only one. The presented fingerless gloves have seven various sorts of the same yarn. The underfur is spinned with sewing reinforced thread and rubbered into 2 threads.
These fingerless gloves are knitted with 'tail' pattern. It has some advantages. Firstly, it looks great. Secondly such pattern implies combination of front and back side mashes which creates ribbing effect. That means every fingerless gloves knitted with 'tail' pattern will fit perfectly for a hand of any size. This point is of no small importance for any knitted work.
The work doesn't have any signs of dog wool smell, as it has two stages of washing: firstly the yarn itself is washed, then the finished work goes washing. I don't use cutted wool, only underfur.
