A rosary of 27 beads is 1/4 of the sacred number 108, it is such rosaries that are traditionally used in practices (including mantras, meditations).

In a Buddhist context, a rosary of 27 beads also symbolizes the 27 signs of perfect wisdom.:
18 of them are qualities that a person comes to through training (here are some of them: sincerity, the ability to see the truth, the ability to meditate...)
and 9 of them symbolize a path that does not require teaching (among them purity of thought, contemplation, readiness to perceive the truth)
