The central idea is the idea of the confrontation of two states: vitality (liveliness, energy) and deadness (apathy, detachment).

The author explores how psychoanalysis can enhance the feeling of vitality and promote the healing process, as well as how this process can deepen the connection with the source of vital energy and symbols. The book focuses on the relationship between psychological work and spiritual practices.

Through various examples, the author illustrates methods aimed at expanding the consciousness of patients, which, in turn, contributes to their healing and restoration of harmony with themselves and the world around them.
