The color of quartz is pale pink, rich pink, pink, occasionally a lavender shade .
Translucency is good.
There are whitish and whitish-cloudy zones, in the total mass - slightly.

This rose quartz position has an interesting natural feature - a weak asterism effect.
The asterism effect in this position is a running strip of light at right angles towards the inclusions.
This is due to the reflection of light from the surface of thin crystals (parallel crystal fibers or needles)
as a result there is a so called asterism effect.
The General name of this phenomenon is iridescence. The more numerous and thinner the inclusions, the clearer the reflected beam.
The effect is best seen when the stone is illuminated by a single light source( preferably daylight) or direct rays of the sun. Multiple light sources or ambient lighting reduce the effect.
The effect, by the way, is rarely geometrically perfect.

Deposits of rose quartz are gradually depleted. This mineral is found everywhere, but there are good samples only in Madagascar.
