The icon is painted on 000 gold leaf, engraved and stamped on metal.
The crown (halo) is engraved and minted, faceted garnet (natural stone) along the edge of the halo.
The very image of the Great Martyr George is made in a classic version.
Egg tempera technique (natural earths, stones, clays are ground into powder and mixed with egg yolk).
The clothes are also generously covered with gold leaf.
The fields of the icon are decorated with natural stones labrador (Madagascar deposits), amethyst (Brazil), chromdiopside, chrysocolla, caholong, and turquoise.
