Yekaterinburg is my hometown. I really love his old houses, monuments, parks, surroundings, our wonderful nature. But my city also has pages about which the younger generation either does not know at all, or has a very vague idea. Old mansions and buildings can tell about some historical events – pleasant and not only –. Unfortunately, most of them have been lost for various reasons. One of these houses was the mansion of the military civil engineer Nikolai Ipatiev. I was very young when my father showed me this house and told me its history. I remember very well the fresh bouquets of flowers that people brought to this building. What was this house known for? On July 17 , 1918 , the royal family was shot in the basement of this mansion. In the 70s it was demolished.
The painting depicts the house of engineer Ipatiev in his last days. The painting is painted in black acrylic on music paper pasted on cardboard. Decorated in a Mat and wood fillet.
