Icon with the ark "The Twelve Feasts"

The handmade icon on the tree "The Twelve Holidays" was created in our workshop using the author's technology.

As a basis for our icons we use a wooden Board with an ark.
On the Board sticking linen canvas. Is applied to the canvas, the gesso, as the old icons.
On gesso transferred in a special way the image of the icon.

Then work is given to the aged look. Is an imitation of a bug, chipped wood, etc..
On the reverse side of the icon Board is reinforced with cross dowels and stamped by our workshop.

All work in our workshop is carried out manually by the master. Each icon is unique and different. Carries a Holy image and a bit of warmth peace.

Icon medium format 34*30 cm.
Under the order possibly production of the icon in a different size and wishes of the customer.
About the icon: Icons dedicated to the twelve feasts are in every Orthodox church. They are placed on the iconostasis, which is made in the form of a partition separating the altar and the main part of the church. Parishioners can see 12 icons of important holidays above the deesis row, which, in turn, is located above the Royal Gates.
