The model for the drawing was a photograph of a wooden sculpture by Ian Norbury.
The drawing was created with pastel pencils based on a sketch in colored ink on pale yellow linen paper. Fragments used liquid gold and gold leaf. Halftone colors change depending on lighting. Feature of pastels is that the ink mass is the individual pigment particles, reflected from which the light scatters in different directions, giving a special colorful layer luchistoi, velvety, specific "pastel" softness. The miniature will decorate an office, a living room, a card room.
