Aegir

The oldest (and probably the most ancient) of the northern sea deities is Aegir, the lord of the seas. Aegir commands almost all the oceans of the Nine Worlds and enters all the seas and oceans of our world, although, like his whole family, he prefers the cold northern waters. In some places, the name of Aegir is remembered before going to sea, to this day, and a storm wave of a special type is called "eg"
