About the icon :
The image of the Savior during a forty-day fast in the desert. This portrait has always been in the cell of Elder Sampson (Sievers). He called the portrait "My Judge".
Some attribute this painting to El Greco, but it still looks too modern for the end of the XVI century.
According to more reliable information, this is an academic school of the middle of the XIX century.
