The amulet is made of Madagascar rosewood wood, covered with linseed oil.
The amulet is decorated with traditional Maori patterns.
The indigenous Maori people of New Zealand were seafarers. Traditionally, they used bone, wood, and stone as materials for making weapons. Therefore, it is not surprising that one of the most used weapons among the Maori was an ordinary wooden paddle, which, however, underwent a serious structural revision. This weapon was called taiaha (taiaha).
Outwardly, the taiaha is a cross between an oar and a spear. The Taiaha consists of three parts. The upper part - "arero”, which means “tongue" in Maori, is similar to the tip of a spear. The middle part of the stalk. Finally, the lower part of the " rau " is a wide and heavy blade for delivering deadly slashing blows.
All pendants are cut and polished manually.
Wood texture in nature is never repeated, so each pendant is unique.
