Peter Tereszczuk is an Austrian sculptor, a bright representative of the Art Deco style, a graduate of Vienna Arts and Crafts School. He was born in 1875 in Wybudow on the territory of Galicia, which at that time was part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The heyday of Peter Tereszczuk's creativity occurred in the 1900-1925s1900s. The range of his activities is extremely wide: portrait sculpture, cabinet sculpture of small shapes, table lamps, night lights, household items (writing accessories, ashtrays, decorative vases, etc.). Peter Tereszczuk is particularly famous for sculptures made of bronze and ivory. Since the 18s, he began to successfully cooperate with the Viennese caster Ulman Ulrich, who was known as one of the producers of low-circulation author's sculptural plastics.
The statuette is in very good condition, natural patina.
Signed by Tereszczuk and TU. The TU stamp means that the statuette was cast at the Ullmann Ulrich factory.
