Nickernut seeds, also known as nuts, come from a bean bush called the warri tree. This seed has a natural smooth marble surface and a color from light to dark gray with fine lines that are sometimes invisible. In the Caribbean, these seeds are used for mancala games. In the Philippines, they are collected for sale to jewelry manufacturers. Traditionally, these nuts are used as amulets for good luck, to banish misfortune or to facilitate childbirth. They are also sometimes ground to make medicinal tea. The seeds can often be found on the beach, they are also known as sea pearls or eagle stones. Very durable.
