Borage (borage, borage) is a very useful plant containing many valuable substances. The leaves of Borago contain a set of dry substances, among which are vitamin C (ascorbic acid), provitamin A( carotene), essential oils, tannins, organic acids, potassium salts, saponins. Borago flowers contain vitamins a, D, E.
Cucumber grass is known to man since ancient times. The first mention of it are found in the Arabs. The Greeks and Romans used Borago as a tonic and "laughing" remedy before the battles. It has been observed that the grass eliminates nervousness, helps to cope with stress and heart ailments. Also, infusions and decoctions of borage were applied to aching joints and problem, diseased skin.
Borago hydrolate is suitable for all skin types, including children and age, and especially for problem skin. Substances contained in cucumber grass have a pronounced anti-inflammatory effect, so Borago preparations, including hydrolates, are successfully used for the treatment of pustular skin diseases, eczema lesions and others. Hydrolat perfectly cleanses the skin due to the content of saponins (in this regard, a little foam when shaken). Has antioxidant, softening, toning, antibacterial effect. Smoothes fine wrinkles, helps prevent aging. Slightly lightens the skin, improves complexion, normalizes the sebaceous glands, tightens pores. Stabilizes the hydrobalance of the skin, increases its elasticity, strengthens the protective functions of the epidermis. Helps to cope with dryness, heals wounds and cracks, relieves irritation. Suitable for delicate eyelid skin care.
