The only charoite Deposit in the world - ( lilac stone) is located at the junction of the Irkutsk region and Yakutia on the watershed of the Chara river and the Tokko river (Olekmen district, Yakutia).
It has a lilac color of various shades.The lilac color is usually attributed to manganese impurities.

Charoitite rocks are 6 million years old. Charoit still holds a lot of mysteries. The stone is so difficult to study that its first researcher (candidate of geological and mineralogical Sciences)could not determine the exact formula for several years.
A total of ~134 rare and rare minerals have been found in charoite rocks.

The most attractive specimens uniformly colored lilac charoite with a massive, radiant and parallel-columnar texture.
Radiant charoite is composed of sheaf shaped or paniculate differently oriented aggregates of rich lilac color sizes from 40 to 5 mm with a strong pearlescent tint. This variety contains the least amount of mineral impurities (up to 10 %) and is a high-quality jewelry raw material.

More often, the aggregate of charoite is colored unevenly, inhomogeneously colored charoitites.
The largest number of color variations is observed in non-uniformly colored samples of spot-ray texture. Against the background of a rich purple color, contrasting spots stand out radiant aggregates of black aegirine Golden or brown-yellow tanaxite, sometimes there are rounded spots of dark green feldspar.
