The picture is very strange and unexpected for me, here I was trying to convey the essence of a woman: her strangeness and diversity. The picture began to live my life and was somewhat gloomy, angular and surreal, and it began to climb the name SIRIN.
I read about it and it became clear that something in it is:
Sirin (OE Russian. Sirin, from GK. Σειρῆνες — "sirens")[1] — in ancient art and legends of the bird of Paradise with the head of the virgin[2]. It is believed that Sirin is a Christianization of pagan mermaids — vil[3]. Often depicted together with another bird, Alkonost, Sirin but the head is sometimes uncovered, and around it a halo.
Sirin its origin is also required to the medieval literary tradition. The most ancient image Sirina back to the X century and survived on clay plates, and temporal rings (Kiev, Korsun). In medieval Russian legends Sirin is bird of Paradise, which sometimes arrives on earth and sings a prophetic song about the coming bliss[4], however, sometimes these songs can be harmful to humans (can lose consciousness). Therefore, in some legends, Sirin becomes a negative value, so that it is even starting to count the dark bird, a messenger of the underworld[5]. The stories sweet and enchanting effect of the singing Sirina per person are contained in these literary monuments of the XVII century, as Psychologists, Azbukovnik, Chronographs. In the apocryphal literature it is reported that the Sirin bird is afraid of loud noises, to scare her, people ringing bells, firing cannons, tube in tube.
Sometimes Sirin associated with purple color[9].
