For knitting this dickey 100% Tuvinian dog underfur with addition of goat underfur was used. This combination of natural materials gives soft, fluffy and elastic yarn that fits perfectly to such accessories as dickey where softness is important. The underfur is spinned with sewing reinforced thread and rubbered into 2 threads.
Dickey is a very comfortable and useful item for cold season. This scarf-collar covers neck, breast and shoulders from cold wind, and can be necessary at home when you have a sore throat or your neck is caught a draft. In such cases dry heat is needed which can be provided by the dog wool. The dickey is knitted round without stitches that allows to tuck it inward as well as outward.
All cloth is knitted with prominent ribbing with interchange of wide and narrow lines that provides good fitting, and fasteners on each side - good fixing enhancing fitting of the work.
The work doesn't have any signs of dog wool smell, as it has two stages of washing: firstly the yarn itself is washed, then the finished work goes washing. I don't use cutted wool, only underfur.
