For knitting this dickey black 100% Tuvinian dog underfur with addition of goat underfur was used. This combination of natural materials gives soft, fluffy and elastic yarn that fits perfectly to such accessories as dickey where softness is important. The underfur is spinned with sewing reinforced thread and rubbered into 2 threads.
Dickey is a very comfortable and useful item for cold season. This scarf-collar covers neck, breast and shoulders from cold wind, and can be necessary at home when you have a sore throat or your neck is caught a draft. In such cases dry heat is needed which can be provided by the dog wool.
The front side is adorned with irish arans. This is a stylish and beautiful pattern. Knitting of arans supposes combination of front and back side mashes that creates a ribbing effect. As a result, the dickey can be stretched widthways as needed and sit perfectly on shoulders, breast and back. Double collar can be regulated up/down depending on how many place the dickey should cover the neck to keep it in warmth.
The work doesn't have any signs of dog wool smell, as it has two stages of washing: firstly the yarn itself is washed, then the finished work goes washing. I don't use cutted wool, only underfur.
