Ouroboros with Valknut

One of the most ancient symbols in the world is the Ouroboros snake, which devours its own tail. This sign does not belong to any people, as it was found in almost all cultures, found its reflection in ancient religions and cults, in mystical and esoteric teachings.

Traditionally, the Ouroboros is a perfect circle, but occasionally this symbol can be found in the form of a lemniscata-an eight lying on its side, denoting infinity and cyclicality. Sometimes a dragon is depicted instead of a snake.

In the Scandinavian religion, the Valknut is a symbol of the unity of the worlds. It is also called a symbol of the Trinity – no wonder Valknut is three triangles intertwined with each other.

According to ancient beliefs, this symbol reflected the unity of times, showing the connection between the past and the present, as well as opening up opportunities to comprehend the future. It was believed that Valknut allows a person to push the boundaries of worlds, and therefore its power was available only to a few.

In addition, the amulet with the image of three intertwined triangles allowed its owner to open any locks and enter any doors. In a figurative sense this means access to secret knowledge. If a person wore a talisman with the image of a Valknut, it meant that he had developed logic and common sense, as well as prudence and the ability to find a way out of any, even the most complicated situation.
