Box: Iosifo-Volotsky monastery, lacquer miniature on papier mache

The Golden color of my today's publication, I think, is in tune with the state of many.
The box is my thesis, which I completed a long time ago in school
It was created under the impression of the architectural landscapes of the Joseph-Volotsky monastery. This is a wonderful, bright place, located not so far away, in Volokolamsk. As a child, every time we passed it on the way to the dacha, and also went there for a walk.
Once there you are impressed by the slow flow and way of life of local residents. They are so calm and completely emotionally not undermined by the frenzied rhythm of the city...
Beautiful views of the wide expanses, cows walking in the meadow and curly clouds, like from Levitan's paintings, every time cause me a child's delight...
The composition on the box is made up of fragments of memories, full-scale sketches and inspired by the technique of decorative works of artists in Fedoskino.
The painting on the box is painted in the technique of lacquer miniatures
The side of the box and the ornament around the painting are made in an interesting decorative way. Each element was beaten out of the gold material with thin needles and glued to the varnish. The ornament was the most laborious part of this work.
