The wooden icon of the hand-made "Saint John The Russian" was created in our workshop using the author's technology.
The basis of the icon is a wooden Board and linen canvas (pavoloka) . Levkas is applied on the canvas in several layers with intermediate sanding of each layer.
We apply the image of the icon itself to the leucas and Polish it with wax paste.
On the reverse side the Board is fastened with two cross dowels. This ensures that the Board will not crack due to temperature and humidity changes.
The technology of image and wood aging was used in the work. Patina.

The size of the icon of John the Russian is 21*26 cm, it is possible to make an icon in a different size and according to the customer's wishes.
