Icon of the mother of God don created by the author's technology of our workshop. Handmade. The basis of the icon, traditionally for icon painting, wooden Board. The Board is covered with linen canvas and applied levkas. Levkas is, as a traditional component of icon painting, a special soil based on chalk and glue.
According to levkas, we apply the image of the icon and cover it with a wax composition.
The size of the icon is 22*28 cm, under the order it is possible to manufacture in a different size.

About the icon: According to legend (according to the Preface to the Deposit book of Donskoy monastery from 1692), was presented by the don Cossacks from the town Sirotina the Moscow Prince Dmitry Donskoy before the battle of Kulikovo (1380).
The Russian Church venerated miraculous icon, a celebration in her honor takes place on August 19 of the Julian calendar.
