Hymn of the UEFA Champions League-arrangement of Handel's hymn (coronation anthem) "Sadok-Priest" (English. Zadok the Priest), made by composer Tony Britten, was born in 1992, when the "championship tournament" called the European Champions Cup was reincarnated in the current UEFA Champions League.

This musical hit of European football is performed by British ensembles-the choir of the Academy of Saint Martin in the fields and the Royal Philharmonic orchestra.

The Champions League anthem is sung in the three official languages of UEFA-French, German and English.

Like the emblem of the tournament, the Champions League anthem has many different interpretations and treatments: a short version that you can hear in a few minutes before matches, an electronic version, an instrumental version, and others. The full version of the hymn lasts 3 minutes and consists of two short verses and a refrain. The original version of the anthem was never released as a commercial product. However, the original Zadok the Priest piece performed by the same Academic choir can be heard on the 2002 album World Soccer Anthems.
