Curtains for the kitchen with a pattern " Turkish cucumber"

Curtains on the window with a picture of "Turkish cucumber"( new-old drawing). The work was done on a hand sewing machine in the Richelieu technique on a cotton fabric( calico, percale) with white bobbin threads. ( in this case, the percale fabric is colored plain).
About the job: the drawing is transferred to the cloth, dressed in hoops and "Meriem". After work the curtains washed and ironed.
Why would a person need curtains from the last century, when in a store you can buy (sew) any curtain on the window? But something in them is...
