For knitting this snood 100% Tuvinian dog underfur with addition of alpaca wool was used. The underfur is spinned with sewing reinforced thread and rubbered into 2 threads. The yarn of this underfur is soft, silky and with shine.
This accessory is knitted of black (pitch glance) underfur. For dog underfur pure black colour is much to seek that makes Tuvinian dog underfur unique.
The main function of the snood is to keep good fitting for neck and breast and to cover them from wind and cold. Two-turn construction of the snood helps to enhance this effect. A special double-sided knitting, called 'slip stitch ribbing', makes the snood loose-fitting and free-draping on the neck. One of the most important things for such accessories is the yarn which they are knitted with. In this particular case the yarn is specially selected soft and without any tickling as neck is considered to be a place with high sensitivity. Classical black color of the snood will fit to any type of overclothes and be universal both for men and women.
The work doesn't have any signs of dog wool smell, as it has two stages of washing: firstly the yarn itself is washed, then the finished work goes washing. I don't use cutted wool, only underfur.
