Angel blue wings. The Dream! The author's work

The unusual wings of this angel... blue..even the blue ones! There are great guys who live and work in Tomsk. They experiment with wood coloring. They found out about me and sent some wood for me to try out. Among all the sent wealth, there was such a stable birch tree. It is painted by vacuum method. Very interesting texture is obtained. The color is there, a very beautiful color, but the structure of the tree is not lost at all! And the color is so natural...not even, if I may say so. Where the wood was denser-darker, there and the color is more intense and Vice versa. For a while, I didn't dare make angels out of this tree... still, I had never used tinted wood before, and the color was confusing... but then I came up with the idea to make a dream angel... and the wings, that would be blue, like the sky.... came up with the idea. A gift from Tomsk contributed to its implementation. Yet again, it happened that the material itself suggested the idea. That's how the angel with blue wings was born. The Dream!
