Box, Fedoskino, lacquer, hand-painted, USSR.
Fedoskino caskets are a unique work of Russian masters of the end of the XVIII century. Externally, it is a small lacquered papier-mache box with a lid, which the artist paints with oil paints in several layers. A special feature of this box is-lacquer miniature painting, which fascinates with its truly intoxicating beauty and naturalness.
Fedoskino lacquer miniature depicts:

* fairy-tale stories (morozka, Baba Yaga, snow maiden);
* nature (winter forest, summer morning, after rain);
* portraits and historical facts (the coronation of the Emperor, a lady with a dog, a magnificent lady)
The technique of creating lacquer miniature paintings is strictly consistent, complex and long-lasting. It allows the image to maintain 100% of its original state, does not fade, does not lose its natural glare. Often in the work of masters used gold leaf, elements of mother-of-pearl shells.
