Common dandelion, (lat. Taráxacum officinále, family Asteraceae) is a herbaceous, flowering perennial. The height of the above-ground part of the dandelion - from 0,1 to 0,3 m. The plant has a powerful taproot, reaching 1 m, and in rare cases even 2 m, which forms a rosette of jagged ovate leaves 10 – 30 cm long. Flowering shoots-tubular, hollow. Large bright yellow inflorescences-baskets are rich in nectar and pollen, they attract a large number of bees and other insects. Ripened seeds are attached to fluff-parachutes, which can be carried for considerable distances when the wind blows...
