Temari is a form of ancient Japanese folk art, temari balls are brightly colored pieces of needlework covered with elaborate patterns. In the Edo period, aristocratic women created temari balls using pieces of silk from spare kimonos.
I am fascinated with all this geometry. It doesn't really matter how much time and labor has been spent to make one ball, the result is always fascinating and delighting. I do temari balls with all my love and respect respect for the masters and the founder country.
It is awesome gift for any occassion and an interesting accent of the interior.
The ball can be made for you in another colour scheme. Contact me to discuss the colours you prefer.
