The photo shows examples for pastels, watercolors, and works in mixed techniques!
IMPORTANT: I don't decorate frames for other people's paintings, only for my own!
Also, I'm not a joiner and I don't cut frames myself, I only use frames of standard sizes that I can buy!
From time to time, I make my own paintings, that is, at the request of the buyer or if I decided that a particular work should be made by myself.
This page of my store shows examples of how to design watercolors. But I also draw and pastels and mixed-media techniques.
First, if you need a Passepartout, I make it from a dense textured pastel paper of the appropriate color and tone, attach it on a cardboard substrate.
Secondly, I decorate a simple unpainted wooden frame (I buy blanks in stores for artists) in accordance with the plot and color scheme of the picture. It is very important that Passepartout and the frame "do not kill" the picture, but help it to become complete, even brighter and, so to speak, "more convex".
Third, to the finished decorated frame with glass, in which is placed a painting with a Mat, attach additional clamps for a tight fit of the pattern to the glass and with rope loops for mounting pictures on the wall.
In fact, the picture is what is called "turnkey" (such a design pun!), you can immediately hang it on the prepared place on the wall or give it as a gift!
The cost of a Mat depends on the size of the picture, from 350 p. A4 size, there is also a standard A3 size - approx 450 p. etc.
If the Passepartout is double (sometimes it is very beautifying the picture, but there is more fuss with such a Passepartout) - from 500 p.
The cost of frames also depends on the cost of the frame blank and, of course, on the decor. Decor can be more complex (with volume, tinting, craquelure, etc.), it can be easier if only paints or stains are used.
