Prenite is a semi-precious gem. Considered to be a common natural stone, but jewelry with it are rare. Mineral glows from within, why seems to be especially attractive.
The birthplace of prehnite is considered to be Australia. The exotic stone was found on the Cape of Good hope by Explorer Hendrik von PREN. Already in the middle of the XVIII century, the Danish researcher introduced the inhabitants of Europe with a mysterious prenite.
Soon European masters began to include a gem in the composition, jewelry. Stone quickly became fashionable, in great demand among secular beauties.
Later, the demand for gems began to wane, and in jewelry it was replaced by other stones. In 1970 a new Australian Deposit of high quality prehnite was discovered. Stones again gained popularity and recognition.
