Mulberry Silk is also known as Bombyx silk or Cultivated Silk - It is produced from the silk worms of the Bombyx Mori Moth. Their diet consits of Mulberry leaves.
Silk bricks are a preparation that is made after the silk is combed, but before it is made into tops; they are folded tightly and compacted into a little tight rectangle, hence the name. This extra wide roving which allows you to get lots of color variation throughout the brick and to get good saturation if you are hand dyeing it.
