The warm sunshine filled with sweet berries gives the juice – so I want to talk about the freshly picked grapes. Transparent greenish berries glisten in the light, reflecting its yellow-honey pulp. I admire this beauty, then I stretch out my hand, which stretches for the berry, gently tears it from the bunch and slowly sends it into my mouth. I bite the tender skin... In the mouth explosion of flavors – honey sweetness, gentle acidity, astringency of the got bone...
Working on this picture, I wanted to convey to the viewer the juiciness of ripe grapes. So that every time you look at the picture looking in the literal sense of the word could feel the wonderful taste of tender ripe berries. The picture Bunch of grapes is painted with oil paints in the technique of old masters-step by step, multilayered, with a thorough drying of each layer. Despite its small size, it took about a month to create the picture. The frame work is not framed, leaving the choice for the future owner in the tone of the interior. The picture can decorate a bedroom, a living room, and a study.
If you like this picture, you may also be interested in my other works, made in the magical technique of Flemish or Italian painting, which (thank heaven and good people) has come down to us, and we can approximate try to depict objects exactly as artists did in the middle ages. This work consists of many layers of transparent paint, each of which needs a thorough drying. Successive layer after layer gives a feeling of transparency and glow, depth and volume. In this technique were written not only still lifes, but also landscapes and portraits of people. As a rule, writing such a work takes well, a lot of time.
