Yggdrassil in the runic circle

Yggdrasil, in Scandinavian mythology — a giant ash, which is the structural basis of the world, the tree of life and destiny. Yggdrasil defines the "vertical projection" of the spatial model of the world of Scandinavian mythology, connecting different worlds (sky, earth, underground world). Feature of Yggdrasil is contained in the "Elder Edda" ("Prophecy of Velva" 2, 19, 28, etc., « The speech of Grimnir" 31 FF.), as well as in "Junior Edda».
The Velva (seer) (in verse 2) calls Yggdrasil mjötvið mæran (i.e. "the tree of measure, beautiful" or "famous»). She mentions nine worlds and the corresponding nine íviði. This word is translated in different ways: "wooden tools", "yew trees", "roots", "wide", "forest». Given Siberian Parallels, this word should probably be translated as a wood support base, "the backbone" of each of the nine realms.
