Print the verses on the original illustrations from the book "the Complete book of Flower fairies" and illustrations of postcards, a renowned artist Cicely Mary Barker.
Cecily Mary Barker was born 28 Jun 1895 in England, g. Croyden, in the family of Woodcarver Walter Barker and Mary Eleanor Oswald. Child Cecile suffered from epilepsy, which later completely healed. The girl began early to show creative tendencies. In connection with tenderness of the daughter's parents decided that the girl should receive an education at home. Father Cecile paid for correspondence courses in the arts, also identified the daughter in the evening class in Kragelskii school of the arts, which Cecile 40 years she started to teach. When she was 15 years old, his father showed a number of daughter's work to the publisher Raphael tuck. The works were purchased and printed in a series of postcards. Mr. Barker was very proud of his daughter and until his death in 1912 helped the young artist to sell artwork and poems (written by her) in various publishing houses.
Cecile Mary Barker's famous books of the "Fairy flowers" ("Flower Fairy"). The first book Barker ("Flower fairies of the spring" was published only in 1923, in the Wake of wildly blooming fashion fairies. With a light hand of Queen Mary (lovers doll houses ), which sent out a haggard First world friends postcards with a cheerful and innocent fairies, books Barker (as many as 8 pieces) and posters with her pictures have become incredibly popular. I must say that all the fairies were drawn Barker from nature with children of the kindergarten, which was in charge of her sister. And the flowers and trees reproduced with true Botanical accuracy.
Created in the early twentieth century flower fairies has not lost its luster in our day.
