The main yarn - 100% sable Collie underfur with addition of brown goat underfur matched in colour. The underfur is spinned with sewing reinforced thread and rubbered into 2 threads.
For knitting this women's dickey Collie underfur was used with addition of goat underfur. This combination of natural materials gives soft, fluffy and elastic yarn that fits perfectly to such accessory as dickey where softness is important.
Dickey is a very comfortable and useful item for cold season. This scarf-collar covers neck, breast and shoulders from cold wind, and can be necessary at home when you have a sore throat or your neck is caught a draft. In such cases dry heat is needed which can be provided by the dog wool.
The main cloth is knitted with garter stitch and fashioned with prominent rib on edges. Such way of knitting is ideal for this accessory as it allows the dickey to drape itself on the neck and to sit perfectly on shoulders and breast. The garter stitch - a ribbing that means the accessory is unusual, has good elasticity and will fit for a neck of any size.
This model of dickey is knitted in such a way that its collar can be as introverted, so as extroverted. How it looks like can be seen on the presented photos.
The work doesn't have any signs of dog wool smell, as it has two stages of washing: firstly the yarn itself is washed, then the finished work goes washing. I don't use cutted wool, only underfur.
