This is a South Russian type of costume with a feather. Ponyuva - an ancient type of clothing, which is a skirt, sewn from 3 cloths of black, matt woolen checkered fabric. Ponoyva was swinging (not sewn) or deaf with the past - an insert from the factory fabric, sewn to three cloths. Festive ponovy decorated with embroideries, ribbons, applique, metal lace, they were worn over the shirt, which was also the oldest element of clothing - the basis of female and maiden costumes.In the southern provinces, shirts were made whole, out of four longitudinal panels. Married women wore compound shirts of different fabrics. The feast complex consisted of an abundantly decorated apron. On the doll there is a swinging pony from black wool. The shirt consists of two canvases, traditionally decorated on the bottom with colored stripes. Straight sleeves, lush at the wrists, are sewn from another, more expensive silk fabric with a red gusset under the sleeve. Sleeves are decorated with bright stripes.
The apron is richly trimmed with braid and motley chintz. The headdress of a doll is characteristic for the south of Russia. It is assembled in type "magpies" (hard head part, covered with a bum) and connected with a strip of cloth covering the back of the head - pozateny. From the sides under the headdress, usually bunches of brightly colored feathers or threads.
