Beige yarn - 100% Collie underfur with addition of merino wool. The underfur is spinned with sewing reinforced thread and rubbered into 2 threads.
For knitting this women's snood red-beige Collie underfur with addition of merino wool was used. This combination of natural materials gives soft, fluffy and elastic yarn that fits perfectly to such accessories as snood where softness is important. At the same time red-beige colour makes it fresh-looking and extravagant.
Snood is a modern and stylish accessory for cold season. It accomplishes two functions: collar and scarf. That means snood guards the neck as well as the breast from wind. Snood is knitted in such a way that a double-ribbing goes over its upper side inside of which there is a regulable cord for closer fitting if it's necessary.
This snood is knitted with 'double-tail' pattern. It has some advantages. Firstly, it looks great. The pattern will adorn every work if yarn is straight, not thick, and a work is knitted closely. But there is another advantage - 'double-tail' pattern implies combination of front and back side mashes which creates ribbing effect. It's one of the best choices for snoods, dickies, scarves and other tight-fitting works. Hence, the snood resulted in a peculiar, loose-fitting, elastic, soft and warm accessory.
The work doesn't have any signs of dog wool smell, as it has two stages of washing: firstly the yarn itself is washed, then the finished work goes washing. I don't use cutted wool, only underfur.
